Job Title: Pay for Skills - Foam Level 1

Number of Openings:

Location: Waukesha Foundry, Inc., 1300 Lincoln Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186

Department: Foam

Pay Type: Hourly

Wage: $ 17.17 while training, $17.62 fully trained

Job Description and duties:

Assembling and coating foams:

•       Must be able to read masters and follow instructions

•       Must be able to read measuring devices

•       Must be able to operate band saw

•       Must show accuracy in parts that require detailed assembly

•       Must be able to construct patterns and rigging on all production jobs

Maintaining slurry tanks:

•       Must be able to read  measuring devices

•       Must know the difference between slurries.

•       Must be able to do math.

•       Must be able to perform Zahn test on all 3 tanks accurately and make proper adjustments to slurry

•       Must be able to perform the binder test accurately and make the proper adjustments to binder

•       Must be able to perform gel test

•       Build slurry tanks from scratch

Dipping foams:

•       Must be able to read masters.

•       Must know the difference between slurries and use proper tank for dip performing.

•       Must be able to perform work as a team.

•       Must know whole process of dipping foams.

General Duties:

•       Achieve and maintain forklift certification

•       Maintain housekeeping for a clean and safe working environment

•       Work safely and as a team player

•       Other duties as assigned by Supervisor


There will be a test given for each of the above bullet points that requires the individual to pass in order to be awarded the position. Feel free to contact the molding supervisor with any questions or concerns.


Job Requirements


Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Skills:   Must have the ability to use direct reading and fixed gauges. Requires use of basic arithmetic functions such as add, subtract, multiply, divide, and work with percentages and decimals.  Must be able to read and understand shop paperwork.

Abilities:  Must be able to achieve fork lift certification.

Working conditions:  Normal foundry atmosphere.
