Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer will evaluate our manufacturing processes to continually improve our efficiencies at our manufacturing facilities.  This is a hands on position both in working with employees in all areas.  This position requires creativity in looking at a problem and being able to design and implement a solution.



  • Evaluate manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; and soliciting observations from operators.

  • Develop manufacturing processes and work instructions by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.

  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work-flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.

  • Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; and estimating future requirements.

  • Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services.

  • Write Purchase Authorization Requests. Assist in developing machine run-off criteria, provide support during the run-off.

  • Conduct machine & process capacities, capability studies, maintain continuous improvement project reports

Job Requirements

•           Bachelors degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering required for this position.
•           Strong technical expertise in manufacturing process implementation, factory automation, and capital projects management


•           30-50% travel – The individual will have flexibility and input on their own schedule, most travel would be Tuesday - Thursday and in the office in Beloit, WI Monday and Friday.
